The 17th National archaeological exhibition Bulgarian Archaeology 2023 is opening at the National Archaeological Institute with Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
The exhibition will be on in the museum’s central hall from 14 February until 26 May, the museum has announced. Once again, the exposition will be presenting the results of the past archaeological season, putting on display the most interesting finds and an array of illustrative material. 
Visitors will be able to see 30 exhibits illustrating the development of culture in what are today the Bulgarian lands, from the Neolith (6,000 BC) up to the period of the National Revival in the 19th century. The exhibits include gold, silver and bronze pieces of jewellery, exquisite anthropomorphic figures and utensils, a scepter made of bone and a bronze flute, marble votive tablets and bronze figures, glassware, tools and weapons, coins.
