Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov commented on the upcoming change of government on March 6 during his participation in the General Assembly of the National Association of Municipalities in Bulgaria, which began in Sofia. He assured the mayors in the audience that there would be continuity in priorities after Deputy Prime Minister Maria Gabriel and himself rotate office.
"This (rotation) process is not a struggle for posts, with one political force trying to outwit another, but a process that will determine what the real priorities of the government will be in the next period (of nine months after the rotation)," Denkov promised. According to him, tensions in society have risen over the upcoming process, with politicians and the media trying to present it in the wrong light.
