According to the survey, the UK, Romania and several Scandinavian countries are among the markets that are poised for growth. According to Duchev, Romania is the most important tourism generating market for the country, followed by Germany and Poland. The Czech Republic and Slovakia are also markets with great potential for Bulgaria. However, Israeli tourists have disappeared due to the problems in the Middle East.

Bulgaria's tourism promotion abroad should focus on the fact that we are a safe and peaceful destination, says Duchev.
