A young woman was found in serious condition in the area of "Chalin Valog" in Bansko. The call to the emergency number 112 was made after 5 pm on Sunday. Teams of the Mountain Rescue Service and the Emergency Medical Service arrived at the scene within minutes.
The 23-year-old woman from Great Britain was found in the river near the ski track with a severe head injury and hematoma. According to the mountain rescuers, she most likely lost control of her skis and was unable to stop on the slope. The young woman is in critical condition and was transported to a hospital in Sofia.
