WBA heavyweight title fight between Kubrat Pulev and Mahmoud Charr has been postponed

The World Boxing Association (WBA) regular heavyweight title fight between Kubrat Pulev and Mahmoud Charr has been postponed, Charr's staff announced. The 39-year-old German boxer got injured and underwent surgery. " Mahmoud Charr injured his left bicep during training. He needed surgery," said Charr’s Promoter Erol Ceylan.

The fight between Pulev and Charr was supposed to take place on March 30 at Arena Sofia, but it will be postponed until the autumn of 2024 at the earliest. Kubrat Pulev's manager Ivaylo Gotsev also confirmed the news to bTV, but added that that they are urgently looking for a replacement for Charr,and that the planned gala will be held.
