Recruitment for the upcoming summer season has begun, reports BNT. In Burgas, dozens of employers who urgently need employees in the tourism sector took part in the first job fair before the summer of 2024.

The greatest demand is for the restaurants in the hotel complexes from Obzor to Primorsko. Bartenders, waiters and cleaners, as well as receptionists, are also in demand. For some of the positions, knowledge of foreign languages is also required.

According to hoteliers, Bulgaria's sea tourism suffers because of its seasonal nature, and because of the increasingly shorter season and the lack of qualified personnel, additional personnel are sought every year.

According to data from the Bureau of Labor in Burgas, salaries for this summer are on average between 500 and 1000 euros, and if not enough workers are found here, the industry will look for them from Ukraine, Nepal and Kyrgyzstan.

Expectations are that after the exchange, at least 300 new jobs will be filled.
