We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria (PP/DB) co-chair Kiril Petkov stated that his formation would not be taking part – with political or expert figures – in the caretaker cabinet of the President of the National audit Office Dimitar Glavchev.

“The president picked someone who is a prominent political figure from GERB. That is his choice to make. The task the caretaker cabinet now has is to organize fair elections. So that the choice of the next minister of the interior and the next minister of e-government will show the direction they will take – whether there will be a lot of vote-buying,” Kiril Petkov said.

By force of the constitutional changes, submitted to parliament and supported by PP/DB, GERB and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, the choice of caretaker prime minister was restricted to the president of the National Assembly, the governor and the deputy governors of the Bulgarian National Bank, the president and the vice presidents of the National Audit Office, and the ombudsman or a deputy ombudsman.
