The most successful Bulgarian tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov, remained second at the Masters 1000 tournament in Miami, Florida. The Bulgarian lost 3:6, 1:6 against the second-seeded Jannik Sinner from Italy in the final.
"Congratulations to Jannik, it's not easy to play against him. I couldn't stop him today. But I finally did well in Miami and I'm enjoying the moment. Although I'm not a winner, I feel like one because of the support of the spectators. I also want to thank my team," Dimitrov said at the award ceremony.
