International investigation finds weapons of Hamas hidden in Bulgaria

A cache of weapons allegedly belonging to Hamas has been found in Bulgaria, BGNES reports, referring to "Der Spiegel". "In the southern part of Bulgaria, weapons and ammunition were found in an underground warehouse, as the weapons were probably supposed to be used for Hamas attacks against Jewish sites in Germany, mainly in Berlin," the publication reads, quoting sources from the Federal Criminal Police Office. Some of the weapons are partially unusable due to rust.

The information about the weapons was obtained by analyzing the mobile phone of one of the four Palestinians arrested in Berlin and the Netherlands in December 2023. They are suspected of preparing caches of weapons intended for terrorist attacks in Europe at the behest of Hamas. The investigation started after information was received from the Israeli services.
