From April 5 to 7, the town of Hisarya in the Plovdiv region will host the first festival of antiquity "Diocletianopolis - Crossroads of Time", the municipality announced. The aim of the festival is to show what life was like in ancient Diocletianopolis (now Hisarya) in the 3rd and 4th centuries BC.

Through reconstructions of historical events and evocative performances, life in the ancient city will be recreated during the three days of the festival. The festival is dedicated to the 1730th anniversary of the foundation of the ancient city of Diocletianopolis and the 60th anniversary of the village of Hisarya being declared a town.
