Citizens of Harmanli protest again against local refugee centre

Citizens of the town of Harmanli (South-eastern Bulgaria) once again went out in protest against the presence of the refugee centre in the town 

"The number of residents should be up to 400 and they should be married couples with children, not single males," said Daniel Grozev from the Citizens' Initiative Committee, which insists on moving the institution to another place.

The protesters also demanded that the refugees respect public order. According to them, those housed in the center occupy the parks for recreation, leave dirt in their wake, shout and whistle. "Young girls are worried, they can't go to the park calmly," said another indignant citizen.

The centre in Harmanli has a capacity for about 1,700 refugees and currently houses 380 people.
