Boxing: Viktorio Iliev becomes European junior champion

Bulgaria's Viktorio Iliev has become European boxing champion at the EUBC Youth Men and Women European Boxing Championships in Poreč, Croatia, in the under-60 kg category. In the final, he defeated Bohdan Cheldyk from Ukraine.

Bulgaria won five medals at the European Championships in Poreč.

With their five awards in the forum, the Bulgarians finished eighth in the medal standings. 

Apart from the gold of Iliev, at the forum in Porec, Croatia, Stoyan Petrov (86 kg) and Aleyna Mehmed (81 kg) won silver medals, while Atanas Dinkov (54 kg) and Roselin Bachevski (92 kg) won bronze.
