Until the moment the president issues a decree, the old cabinet ministers shall perform their duties, commented caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev on his way out of the presidency.

“In this situation, it is clear to me that I mustn’t turn into a bone of contention that will divide society and prevent the institutions from functioning,” said, in parliament MP and GERB deputy chair Daniel Mitov, and withdrew his candidacy for the post of foreign minister in the caretaker government. Daniel Mitov thanked caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev for the trust, and GERB leader Boyko Borissov for approaching any possible role for him at the Foreign Ministry “with understanding”.
