А гrowth of 24% is reported in the number of mortgage loans in Bulgaria for the first quarter of the year, said credit consultant Tihomir Toshev in an interview with BNR.

According to him, this is a record increase after 5 consecutive quarters of decline in mortgage loans and property transactions. He predicted that Bulgaria's admission to the eurozone could lead to another surge in property transactions. Low supply and high demand for property is expected to lead to property prices increasing by up to 3 - 5% by the end of the year.
