Minister of Defense congratulates Bulgarian military personnel on missions abroad for May 6

The noteworthy participation of the Bulgarian military in NATO and EU operations and missions has made Bulgaria a desirable partner for joint preparations and exercises, which are extremely necessary in the conditions of military operations, crises and insecurity. This is what Caretaker Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov said. 

Traditionally, on the eve of the Day of Bravery and the holiday of the Bulgarian Army, May 6, Minister Zapryanov and the Chief of Defense, Adm. Emil Eftimov participated in a video conference with the national commanders of the Bulgarian military contingents abroad. Bulgarian soldiers are on missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Iraq. More than 140 military personnel are also tasked in 4 NATO operations and 5 EU operations, the Joint Forces Command said.
