Trade unions mark Labor Day with a march

On the occasion of today's International Workers' Day, the "Podkrepa" trade union organizes its traditional festive march in Sofia. The march started from the capital's "Sveta Nedelya" square and continues to the "Earth and People" museum, where a 9-hour "Rock for Labor" concert will start at 12:30 p.m. This year, the march will take place under the title: "Jobs, wages and security!".

Bulgaria still cannot deal with income inequality and the "working poor" phenomenon, said Plamen Dimitrov, who is the president of the other major trade union in the country - CITUB. According to the latest data, the "working poor" in Bulgaria are 11.7% of the employed.
