Traffic is intense at the "Kulata-Promachonas" border crossing with Greece on the first day of a series of holidays, BNR correspondent Keti Trencheva reports. In both directions traffic is formed mostly by passenger cars. Queues of waiting cars have formed in the early hours of the morning. All lanes and document check counters are open. The traffic in both directions at the other border checkpoint with Greece - "Ilinden-Eksohi" is calm.

The Romanian border authorities will not allow trucks over 7.5 tons through the "Durankulak-Vama Veche" checkpoint during the holidays - on May 1, 3, 5 and 6 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.; on May 2 and 4 from 4 to 10 p.m., the Ministry of the Interior reports.

On the border with Serbia, traffic is normal at all border checkpoints. At the "Kalotina" border crossing, construction and installation activities are being carried out in connection with modernization. The temporary reorganization of traffic may extend the time to pass through the point.

Traffic on the borders with Turkey and North Macedonia is normal.
