Bulgarian President on official visit to Azerbaijan

Sofia and Baku to strengthen their strategic partnership

On 8 May Bulgarian President Rumen Radev will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of his Azerbaijani counterpart, President Ilham Aliyev. The Bulgarian delegation will include interim Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov, Chairman of the Bulgarian-Azerbaijani Friendship Group in the National Parliament Hamid Hamid and business representatives.

The visit will focus on deepening the bilateral strategic partnership in the fields of economy, energy, high technology and tourism.

Rumen Radev and Ilham Aliyev will hold a one-on-one meeting and sign a joint declaration on strengthening the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.

In Baku, President Radev will also meet with Bulgarian sports specialists working in Azerbaijan.
