More than 1200 runners to take part in Marathon Varna 2024 on Sunday

The record number of more than 1,200 runners are expected to participate in the marathon in Varna on Sunday, May 12. Due to the great interest, the organizers had to prepare additional starting numbers. Participants will choose between three distances - the classic one of 42.195 km, a half marathon of 21 km and a distance of 10.5 km. The start is exactly at 9:30 a.m. from Independence Square next to the Varna Opera House. 

The route includes parts of the Sea Garden and the road leading to the Golden Sands resort, which guarantees runners abundant greenery and sea horizons. The participation of elite athletes from Kenya and Morocco is also expected. There will also be runners from Germany, Romania, Ukraine, England, Hungary, Turkey and other countries.
