The Bulgarian community in the US state of Nevada received recognition for their commitment and contribution to cultural exchange and the presentation of Bulgarian cultural heritage and traditions. The certificates of recognition issued by the office of Governor Joe Lombardo and the office of the Las Vegas City Council and Mayor Carolyn Goodman are addressed to the Bulgarian-American Association in Nevada, which for yet another year organized a Bulgarian festival in Vegas on the Orthodox Easter, which in 2024 was on May 5.

The Consul General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles, Mr. Boyko Hristov, opened the event by greeting the Bulgarian community for Easter and the holidays in May. In his welcome, he highlighted the aspiration of the organizers from the Bulgarian-American Association in Nevada for the festival to grow and attract guests from different parts of America every year.

Boyko Hristov thanked Mr. Robert Miller, former governor of the state of Nevada and honorary consul of Bulgaria in the state and his son Mr. Ross Miller, Clark County Commissioner, for supporting the Bulgarian community. Representatives of local authorities also respected the event.
