Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) has produced, recorded and filmed a video of the "Song of the Alphabet", performed by the vocal group "Radiodetsa" (Radio Children's Choir), as a greeting to all Bulgarians around the world on the occasion of May 24 - the Day of St. Cyril and St. Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavic literature.

The composition is by Vlada Tomova, a songwriter and organiser of master classes in folk singing. She was born in Ukraine, grew up in Bulgaria and studied jazz at Berklee College of Music in the USA. The idea was to have a popular song about the alphabet that would be easy for children to remember, so that they could learn the Bulgarian letters through image and melody.
