In the Karlovo region, mayors and residents of the villages of Bogdan, Karavelovo, Rozino, Hristo Danovo and the mayor of Karlovo municipality, Emil Kabaivanov, blocked the sub-Balkan road and the access to the Troyan-Karnare pass for an hour in protest.

They insisted on the transfer of promised funds to repair the damage caused by the massive floods that hit the area in 2022. They are demanding that the state allocate €19.429 million to rebuild bridges, roads and stabilise ravines in the Karlovo region that were destroyed by the disaster.
The mayor of Karlovo, Emil Kabaivanov, recalled that more than €38.35 million is needed to restore people's lives to normal. So far, only €9 million has been transferred by the state.

Yesterday, the governor of the Plovdiv region, Iliya Zyumbilev, said that the state would provide all the necessary funds to co-finance the restoration of infrastructure.
