This summer, the guests of Chepelare municipality will be able to diversify their holidays in the beautiful nature of the Rhodope Mountains with another mountain route. This is the new hiking trail "The Cave Laboratory, the Old Frontier, the Topcheto Cave, the Rozhen pylon, the springs of the Chepelare River", which was implemented on the initiative of the Museum of Rhodope Karst in the town of Chepelare.

The circular route starts from the fork for the old road to the village of Levochevo and has a total length of about 9 km. It is easy and pleasant for walking, cycling or jeep safari, passing through several interesting and emblematic places of the Rhodope Mountains.

The first stop is the Sbirkovata cave used in the past as an underground laboratory by the cave club in the town of Chepelare. The trail passes by the Topcheto cave, reaches the Rozhen locality and the springs of the Chepelarska River. From there, after about 20 minutes, the route ends at the starting point. The markings are red and the sites along the route are marked with information boards.
