The last elections took place under the shadow of Kremlin's disinformation, which is one of the main tools used in the internal political processes in our country, caretaker Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov said at a round table on the topic of "Building institutional resilience against malign foreign influence", organized by the Center for the Study of Democracy.

The minister pointed out that in the coming years, Bulgaria would face not only Russian hybrid subversion, but also China's hybrid influences as a systemic challenge.

According to Atanas Zapryanov, countering the Kremlin's hybrid war in the information and digital space is of primary importance for this country. "Disinformation is the most immediate challenge we fight every day," he added.
