Over 7 thousand Bulgarians live in Albania

The Bulgarian population in Albania is 7,057 people - 3,691 men and 3,366 women. This is clear from the announcement of the National Statistical Institute INSTAT, quoted by BGNES. 


This puts the Bulgarian community in third place in terms of numbers in Albania after the Greek and Roma minorities, the Bulgarian Memory Foundation said. 

As of 2023, Albania's population is 2,402,113. By comparison, in 2001 it was 3,069,275.
