The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) will not participate in talks with the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) for the second cabinet-forming mandate, the party's press centre said. The position of BSP is addressed to the chairman of the parliamentary group of DPS, Delyan Peevski, regarding the support sought for the formation of a cabinet with the second mandate.

''The party has decided that the parliamentary group will not participate in talks on forming a government with the first two mandates, but the BSP parliamentary group believes that a solution can be found with the third mandate'', reads the response of the socialists, signed and sent by the chairman of the parliamentary group of "BSP for Bulgaria" Borislav Gutsanov. ''The procedure provides time to discuss priorities for the development of Bulgaria and the improvement of the lives of Bulgarian citizens. The BSP parliamentary group believes that this is the way to overcome the political crisis and stabilize the country", BSP said further.

Earlier today, GERB-SDS, PP-DB and ITN also sent responses to DPS's invitation, declining to hold talks and to support a government with the second mandate.
