President Rumen Radev called for the processes of modernization of the navy to continue. On board the frigate Drazki in the Black Sea, the president, the Deputy Minister of Defence Radostin Iliev and the commander of the Bulgarian navy rear admiral Kiril Mihaylov gave a press conference. The Bulgarian navy deserves more modern technology and better conditions. That is the road we shall definitely follow, said Rumen Radev. The role of the Black Sea as the point where geopolitical, economic and energy interests intersect is constantly growing, he added. We must have a dependable navy and a system of interaction with all government organizations, NGOs and the local authorities so that Bulgaria may uphold its interests and its position as a maritime country, the president said further.
