The 12 km perimeter of the big fire north of the city of Stara Zagora has been cordoned off, the regional governor Metodi Markov said. There are currently six outbreaks of the fire. A concentration of equipment is expected by midday, with two army helicopters to join the extinguishing.
The partial state of emergency will remain until the situation is brought under control. Volunteers are on the ground again on Tuesday.

The fire in the Sakar mountain in Svilengrad region has been contained on all fronts and is under control. One outbreak remains in the direction of the village of Studena, which is being localized. All 17 fire brigade teams remain on site to respond if necessary. The Svilengrad municipal coucil will meet to decide to allocate BGN 20,000 to the affected farmers to buy fodder for the animals because the pastures in the area have been burnt.

The condition of the 19-year-old volunteer who was injured in the firefight in Sakar remains serious. He has 75% burns and is now treated in the clinic in Plovdiv.
Hemus highway in the area of the village of Slanchevo near Varna is open. Traffic is normal in all lanes.
