The President comments on the mandate to form a government

I expect that in the next few days it will become clear whether there is a majority in Parliament and whether there is support for the mandate given to the second largest parliamentary group. The reactions of the other parliamentary groups will give a clear indication of whether there will be such support.

"And that is how I will make my decision," said President Rumen Radev. He added that he would take into account the agenda of the Bulgarian Parliament." I have always been guided by the Constitution and I will continue to do so," the head of state said.

Radev made the statement to journalists at the Vrazhdebna airbase, where he attended the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the introduction of the Pilatus PC platform trainer aircraft into the Bulgarian Air Force.

The President boarded the Swiss company's RS-21 and flew over Sofia for about an hour. Rumen Radev is a first-class pilot with more than 1400 flying hours.
