The Parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee has ordered the Council of Ministers to immediately take the necessary steps to allocate funds from the budget to help the victims of the fires, BTA reports.

The Council of Ministers must inform the National Assembly on a weekly basis of the measures taken and provide the necessary funds for the purchase of aerial fire-fighting equipment for the needs of the Ministry of the Interior.

The Council of Ministers must also submit a report to the National Assembly on the measures taken to use the funds allocated under the Operational Programme "Environment" for the purchase of fire-fighting equipment for the prevention of forest fires. Parliament is expected to discuss the committee's report at its Friday session, following a decision by the Council of Speakers.
