The fire on the territory of the villages of Voden, Krainovo and Strandzha in the municipality of Bolyarovo has been controlled and localised. Interior Ministry teams will be on the ground to ensure that the fire does not flare up again, Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov said. Meanwhile, the process of providing temporary accommodation for people in Voden who lost their homes in the fire is also underway. Mobile homes are being delivered in stages from across the country.

The fire on the Bulgarian-Greek border, which has been raging for several days, is now about 1 km from Bulgaria, with a front of about 15 km. "The fire is developing in a heavily crossed area. Colleagues on the Greek side are working only with aircraft," the minister said. Some of the forces involved in fighting the fire in Bolyarovo, including Czech helicopters and Spanish planes, will be redeployed to the border area.
