Bulgaria's Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov has signed two important international documents, thanks to which Bulgaria will cooperate with Australia, as well as with Romania, Croatia and Serbia in the field of studying, preserving and promoting cultural heritage, the Ministry's press office said.

According to the first document, Bulgaria will cooperate with Australia in the field of research and management of underwater cultural heritage.

The second document is an agreement on consent between the Ministries of Culture of Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia and Serbia to formalize joint activities on the nomination of the transborder World Heritage site "Borders of the Roman Empire - Danube Limes" (Eastern Sector). The nomination is being prepared jointly between the four countries, with Bulgaria taking the lead.

"Borders of the Roman Empire" is a transborder site proposed for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. A Limes Commission has been established in Bulgaria in connection with the preparation of the nomination for inscription of the site "Borders of the Roman Empire - Danube Limes in Bulgaria". Romania will join the common nomination with the site "Borders of the Roman Empire - Dacia".
