Average gross salary in Bulgaria reaches EUR 1,174

In the second quarter of 2024, the average gross monthly wage in Bulgaria increased by 4.5% compared to the first quarter of 2024, reaching BGN 2,296 /EUR 1,174/, the NSI data show. 

The economic activities that registered the largest increase were "Public administration" - by 13.1%, "Education" - by 9.7%, and "Hotels and restaurants" - by 9.2%.

The highest average gross monthly salary was in the sector "Creation and distribution of information and creative products; telecommunications" - BGN 5,164 /2,640 euro/, at the opposite pole was the sector "Hotels and restaurants" - BGN 1,491 /762 euro/.
