There are opportunities for increasing the number of lanes at the "Durankulak" border crossing, the caretaker Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev told Nova TV. He said that this was a conceptual plan, but talks had already been held with the competent institutions.

Miloshev pointed out that Durankulak became a very popular crossing point this year as many tourists from Romania use it. The possibilities for them to enter Bulgaria are through "Danube Bridge" 1 and 2 and through "Durankulak".

Miloshev also said that this summer the long-awaited renovation of "Danube Bridge" 1 started. This diverted the flow of traffic to "Durankulak" and it is now the main border crossing point through which tourist from Romania enter.
