The Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Philharmonic Choir will perform the music of John Williams at the prestigious Ljubljana Music Festival on 22 August.

The orchestra's conductor, Maestro Naiden Todorov, has repeatedly admitted that John Williams is one of his favourite composers. The invitation follows the orchestra's highly successful concert with the same programme in Skopje in the spring of 2023, when festival representatives were in attendance.

The Ljubljana audience will hear famous themes from the films Indiana Jones, Home Alone, Harry Potter, Schindler's List, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Superman. The second part of the concert is dedicated to the music of Star Wars.

John Williams is one of the most celebrated, award-winning and successful composers of our time, with five Academy Awards, 20 Grammy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards and many more.
