Tihomir Ivanov, who finished eighth in the high jump at the Paris Olympic Games, is back in the prestigious Diamond League of athletics.

After a five-year break, he will compete in Chorzow, Poland, today and in the Italian capital, Rome, on 30 August. The Bulgarian earned both invitations thanks to his successful performance at the Olympic Games.

"I am very happy that I will be jumping in the Diamond League again. I feel good, confident after Paris 2024 and I hope to achieve a good result," said Tihomir Ivanov.

The athlete made his debut in the league in 2017 with a fourth place in Paris and achieved his best result, a silver medal, in Rabat that year.
