The Estonian Central Bank released a collector's coin, the design of which is the work of the Bulgarian designer and teacher at the National Academy of Arts, Prof. Svetlin Balezdrov. The coin with a face value of 8 euros is made of silver, has a circulation of 5 thousand pieces and is associated with the Estonian city of Tartu.

"It struck me that the word ART is contained in TARTU", says the designer, who turns the find into the main conceptual motif of the artistic project. That is why it depicts a window that opens to the town hall of the city, declared the European Capital of Culture for 2024.

A commemorative 2-euro coin commemorating the anniversary of the creation of the Estonian written language will also be put into circulation next year, according to the design of Prof. Svetlin Balezdrov.
