Pleven hosts the Festival of Wine and Farm Delicacies: Time for Wine

The Festival of Wine and Farm Delicacies will be held between August 29 and September 1 in the courtyard of the Regional Historical Museum Pleven. The event promises an unforgettable experience with the best of Bulgarian wine, dairy and meat delicacies from Northern Bulgaria.

At 10:00 am on August 29, the Institute of Viticulture and Enology- Pleven is organizing an Open Day dedicated to the red wine grape variety Rubin as part of the "Time for Wine - Pleven 2024" festival. The presentation of the grape variety will be accompanied by a tasting of wine from various producers. Visitors will also have the opportunity to try the new Bulgarian ice-cream made with wines from the grape varieties "Plevenska Rosa", "Rubin", "Vrachanski Misket" and "Gamza" using Italian technology.

The annual exhibition showcasing traditional and new dessert grape varieties is being organized for the first time in collaboration with the Agricultural University in Plovdiv, the Institute of Agriculture and Seed Science "Obraztsov Chiflik" - Ruse, and the Institute of Agriculture - Kyustendil.
