President Radev: The great victory of Ruzhdi Ruzhdi unites all of Bulgaria

"Congratulations for the will, perseverance and high sportsmanship of Ruzhdi Ruzhdi, who won the gold medal in the shot put (category F55) at the Paralympic Games in Paris." With these words, written on his official Facebook page, President Rumen Radev congratulated the Bulgarian athlete for winning the title.
"This great victory is a reason for well-deserved pride and unites the whole of Bulgaria," the head of state also wrote.

Ruzdi Ruzdi beat his competitors by a huge margin - on his third attempt he cleared 12.40m, while the rest of the competitors failed to clear the 12m mark. Silver medalist Zafar Zaker of Iran finished with 11.88 and bronze medalist Lech Stoltman of Poland – with 11.81 m.

In Paris, Ruzhdi Ruzhdi duplicated his title from the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He also has a silver medal from the Tokyo Olympics.
