"Balkan Nights" is an initiative that begins today in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, and will continue until September 8. The event opens tonight with the "Balkan Dances" Music Workshop, led by Dimitar Hristov. On September 6 and 7, there will be music and vocal workshops with Dimitar Hristov and Evelina Hristova, as well as a meet-and-greet with instructors and DJ Orfey.

Dimitar Hristov is a well-known composer, arranger and conductor of the Bulgarian National Radio Folk Orchestra. He also teaches at the National Academy of Music ''Professor Pancho Vladigerov'' in Sofia. His wife, Evelina Hristova, is a soloist in "The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices" and "Eva Quartet". Evelina is also a Bulgarian folk singing teacher at the "Narodni Buditeli" high school in Sofia.

One of Dimitar Hristov's most famous musical projects is the band BULGARA, which presents original folklore with a modern sound. Next, we bring you the remix of the piece "Mecha Svatba/Bear's Wedding" from BULGARA's album "Koreni/Roots". Dimitar Hristov wrote the music of the piece. The remix is by Kiril Dobrev.
