The two wings of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms party, which intend to participate in the early parliamentary elections on October 27 in coalitions, did not comply with the instructions of the Central Election Commission (CEC) to submit documents proving that the party is not part of their composition, BNR learned. They had until yesterday at 5:00 p.m. to fulfill the requirement of the CEC.

The "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms - MRF" coalition, behind which are the supporters of the honorary chairman Ahmed Dogan, have informed the CEC that they object to the instructions and will file a complaint with the Supreme Administrative Court today. Later it became known that the coalition withdrew its complaint.
Despite the fact the complaint was withdrawn, the Supreme Administrative Court has reported it would rule on the complaint in a three-day term.

The coalition around the chairman of the MRF parliamentary group Delyan Peevski "Movement for Rights and Freedoms - A New Beginning" also refused to comply with the commission's recommendation.

The CEC must decide whether to register the two associations at its regular meeting on Monday. According to the Electoral Code, a party can participate in elections in only one coalition.
