''Our aid is being used on the front line as combat equipment and ammunition on the territory of Ukraine'', caretaker Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov told BNT regarding the military aid that Bulgaria provides to Ukraine. ''Everything we have given to Ukraine so far is based on existing decisions of the National Assembly. We are only giving surplus property from the Bulgarian Armed Forces", Atanas Zapryanov added. He emphasized that the aid in no way constitutes Bulgaria's involvement in the war. "We are helping a victim of aggression", Minister Zapryanov said.

In a declaration from the parliamentary rostrum, Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov spoke out against military aid for Ukraine. According to him, "Bulgaria falls into a crisis situation not only under the threat of external aggression, but also because of natural disasters, as everything needed for these situations is provided to Ukraine".
