Weather forecast for 17 September 2024

Rainfall expected to continue, snow on some mountain peaks

On Tuesday, the cloudiness will be significant over most of the country, there will be more sunny hours along the Danube and in Northeastern Bulgaria. Light rain will fall in some places in southern Bulgaria. The wind will be oriented from the east-northeast, it will be weak, in the eastern regions - to moderate wind from the north. 
Minimum temperatures tomorrow will be between 6°C and 11°C, higher along the Black Sea at 15°C-18°C; in Sofia about 7°. 
The maximum temperatures will be reach 20°C to  25°C, in Sofia - around 20°C.

Cloudiness will be significant over the mountains and light rain will fall in some places, light snow will fall on the highest peaks of Rila and Pirin Mountains. Light to moderate winds will blow in the low areas from the north-northeast, and along the ridges from the south-southeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters is about 16°C, at 2,000 meters - about 8°C.

Along the Black Sea coast, the cloud cover will be significant, on the northern coast there will be more significant breaks. A moderate wind from the north-northeast is expected. Maximum temperatures will be at 23°-25°C. The temperature of the sea water is at 24°C. 

In the Balkan Peninsula, it will be heavily overcast over most of the area. There will be rain in places in the western and central regions and in northern Greece.
