Veliko Tarnovo hosts the 17th International Festival of Military Brass Bands, the organizers from the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo announced. This year, the festival will feature the Romanian Navy Military Band, the Guards Representative Brass Band and the Festival Military Orchestra "Maestro Nikolay Kosev", which is made up of the formations of the National Military University-Veliko Tarnovo and the Second Tundzha Mechanized Brigade-Stara Zagora.
On September 21, the brass bands will participate in a procession along the main streets of Veliko Tarnovo. Traditionally, the honorary statuette named after Maestro Nikolay Kosev and Valeri Vulev will also be awarded. Nikolay Kosev and Valeri Vulev are founders of the Foundation of the International Festival of Military Orchestras.
