After a long journey from the capital Sanaa to the port city of Hodeidah, I managed to meet with the two Bulgarians in Yemen, said MEP Elena Yoncheva. They met outside the hijacked ship Galaxy Leader, in a location chosen by the Houthis for security reasons, reads a statement by Elena Yoncheva’s press office.

A high-ranking representative of the Houthis—a Yemeni movement that controls a vast territory in northern Yemen, including the capital Sanaa—was present at the meeting. According to MEP Yoncheva, ‘’The arguments and appeals to address the situation which I stressed are being heard, are taken seriously, and an early release is being considered", reported BTA.
