Sunny weather expected in Bulgaria for Independence Day long weekend

On Saturday the weather will be cloudy over most of the country in the early hours, with sunshine later in the day. No precipitation is expected. Minimum temperatures will be between 9°C and 16°C, in Sofia 9°C. Daytime highs will be 20°C to 26°C, in the capital Sofia - 20°C. 

Along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast it will be cloudy but without precipitation with northeasterly breeze. Air temperatures will be at 22 to 24°C, close to sea water temperatures. 

Over the mountains, clouds will also decrease to mostly sunny spells. A moderate northeasterly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at 1,200 m altitude will be up to 16°C, at 2,000 m - up to 8°C. 

On Sunday and Monday it will be sunny with morning fog in the valleys and lowlands.
