Grigor Dimitrov will play vs Alejandro Tabilo at Laver Cup in Berlin

The best Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov will start his participation in the team tennis tournament Laver Cup 2024 with a match versus world No. 22 Alejandro Tabilo from Chile.

The match is scheduled for tonight (Friday, 20 September) after 8 pm Bulgarian time and the competition in Berlin (Germany) will last until 22 September.

The Bulgarian player who is currently the world's No. 10, last participated in the 2018 Laver Cup when he played one singles match against Francis Tiafoe and one doubles match with David Goffin, helping Team Europe win the trophy against Team World.

In addition to Dimitrov, this year's Team Europe line-up also includes Carlos Alcaraz (Spain), Alexander Zverev (Germany), Casper Ruud (Norway), Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) and Daniil Medvedev (Russia), and in the World Team, besides Tabilo, includes Taylor Fritz (USA), Frances Tiafoe (USA), Ben Shelton (USA), Thanasi Kokkinakis (Australia) and Francisco Cerundolo (Argentina).

Friday's competition schedule starts at 2 pm Bulgarian time with Casper Ruud and Francisco Cherundolo, followed by Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Thanasi Kokkinakis.

In the evening session, after Grigor Dimitrov's match, the doubles clash between the tandem of Carlos Alcaraz - Alexander Zverev against Ben Shelton and Taylor Fritz will take place.
