Foreign Minister visits Bulgarian Sunday school in Washington

Caretaker Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov paid a visit to the Bulgarian Sunday school Hristo Botev near Washington. Minister Kondov congratulated the school on its 10th anniversary and the spoke of the efforts by the Bulgarian community in the region to preserve the Bulgarian language, culture and traditions far beyond the country’s borders, the Foreign Ministry writes on its website. Ivan Kondov laid emphasis on the importance of Sunday schools as a unifying centre for passing the Bulgarian spirit onto the coming generations, and promised the state would continue to support them. Minister Kondov assumed the commitment to raise the question of assisting the process of education and providing Bulgarian textbooks with the Ministry of Education and Science and help find effective solutions in support of the Bulgarian children in the US.
