334 dead, 7000 injured on the roads since January 2024

There have been 5 390 road accidents in Bulgaria since the beginning of the year until September 29, with 334 deaths and nearly 7 000 injuries. Last week alone, there were 151 serious accidents in Bulgaria, killing nine people and injuring 201.

Traffic police have announced additional measures to fight the war on the roads. Compared to the same period last year, there were fewer deaths and injuries, but more accidents, said Commissioner Maria Boteva of the National Police Directorate.
