Bulgaria has begun evacuating our fellow citizens who expressed a desire to leave Beirut following Israel's attacks on Lebanon. Some of the Bulgarians in Lebanon have already been evacuated on a government aircraft flight, BNR's correspondent Mira Stefanova reported.
The plane departed from Sofia after 1:00 PM and landed in Beirut shortly before 3:00 PM. Mothers with children and elderly people are part of the first group of compatriots evacuated from the Lebanese capital. The plane is expected to land in Sofia around 7:00 PM. A second evacuation flight is also expected.
